Sacramental Preparation

SACRAMENT OF MARRIGE

Our team members are married couples who believe in the true commitment, fidelity, wonder and the challenge of life within the Sacrament of Marriage. These couples are willing to share their gifts with those planning to marry in the Catholic Church. Please contact the rectory office one year prior to the wedding.
A preparation course is required,

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

Our Baptismal team meet with parents on Wednesday evenings to prepare parents for their child's baptism. The parents are required to attend two set dates for baptismal preparation.
Due to the large number of Baptism's in our parish, we strongly advise parents to contact Dana Schmidt 519-730-0611 sjbbaptism@gmail.com early in the pregnancy to arrange for the baptismal date and schedule the preparation classes

CHILDREN'S SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMS
FIRST RECONCILIATION -EUCHARIST - CONFIRMATION

Our childrens sacramental programs for first Reconciliation, first Eucharist and Confirmation are family based programs. These programs are lead by a team of volunteers to assist parents in preparing their children for the sacraments. A retreat day prior to celebrating the sacraments will further build on their faith filled journey.

RCIA
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS INTO THE CHURCH

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the way in which both adults and children of catechetical age enter the Catholic Church. This process is now moving to year round, so at any time of the year a person can begin the journey into the Catholic Church. If you have been thinking of joining our Cathoic faith, or if you are already baptised and need to complete your sacraments of initiation, we invite you to begin the journey to the table of the Eucharist.
We are looking for parishioners to help in this process as Sponsors, Catechists and Hospitality. If you have one night a month you can spare, or a Sunday for 1 hour, please consider joining our RCIA team.
